Thought I’d do a quick post on my current favorite pedal, the Boss Blues Driver. I play at home at pretty low volume, mostly on my Tele through a Fender Princeton amp. Sometimes I like just a tad of that blues dirt, and the Boss BD-2 Blues Driver delivers that Black Keys sound I dig. I’ve loved Boss pedals ever since I got a DS1 back in the mid-80s. They are bombproof. More pics after the jump.
I recently picked up an Olympic White Squier Bullet Mustang HH for my kid and thought it would be interesting to compare it to my 2009/2010 Arctic White Fender Standard Telecaster. Now in theory the “Crafted in Indonesia” Mustang should be a bit creamier than the MIM Tele, but after ten years the Tele is a bit more yellow. I think both look great, though.
