Yes, more Lynyrd Skynyrd and more Marty…

Suzie Q
Check out this cool demo from the folks at Fender, then learn how to play Suzie Q from Marty after the jump! Plus special bonus Apocalypse Now scene!
Lynyrd Skynyrd Free Bird
Super easy. Basically just G, D, E minor, F, C, D with down, down, up, down, up. Try it.
Pentatonic Scale
You got the Pentatonic scale all figured out, right? Here’s how you take it to the next level.
Can’t Stop by the Red Hot Chili Peppers
Here’s a fun one. Check out the string muting and how this guy uses his thumb (I’m not there yet). There’s another video on how to play this song by Marty after the jump!
Fender Blacktop Telecaster HH
Check out my Craigslist score. It was purchased new at American Music nine months ago and never played. I already switched out the tone and volume knobs. I’d like to reverse the control plate back to “normal” but it’s a bit involved. Anyway, super cool guitar. Dig the humbuckers!
Neil Young Keep Rockin’ in the Free World
Here’s a super easy and fun one. It’s basically just E, D, C and then G, D, C. Crank the distortion and then follow along with Marty.
Ultimate Guitar Tabs
Here’s another great one for your phone. It’s $2.99 in the iTunes store, though you can get the tabs from the Ultimate Guitar site for free. I like having stuff on the phone cause I can just have it next to me on the couch while I’m playing. Anyway, well worth it, and great to have alongside your YouTube lesson or your Riffmaster Pro.
RiffMaster Pro
This is the single best learning tool I have found so far. Find a song you like, look up the tabs, then play it on your phone or iPad or whatever at a speed you can handle. The pitch stays the same. $4.99 at the iTunes store but totally worth it.
Led Zeppelin Tangerine
Here’s what I’m working on now. Yeah, it’s really for a 12 string but whatever. Marty rules.
