I decided to ditch the factory strings on my kid’s Squire Mustang and go with some fresh new D’Addario EXL110 Nickel Wound, Regular Light, 10-46 strings. I also decided the Squire fretboard would make a good guinea pig for this Jim Dunlop 6554 Dunlop Ultimate Lemon Oil. The stuff worked wonders on the grayish Squire fretboard, so I used it on my older Robert Cray Strat, too. Wow, what a difference! Before and after pics of the Strat fretboard after the jump. Definitely recommended.
